She is a Registered Nurse who holds a Bachelor of Nursing, Graduate Diploma of Business in Health Service Management, Graduate Diploma in OHS Management and a Category 2 Trainer Certificate.

Marion has provided extensive training for both Employers, Managers and Employees in a range of settings.  Her expertise in training is much sought after and includes a wide range of subjects, for example:

§  Roles and responsibilities of all parties (for both management and employees).

§  OHS Legislative requirements.

§  Implement effective OHS.

§  Hazard Management (general and hazard specific, including:

                 Manual Handling

                 Hazardous Substances

                 Plant

                 Noise

§  OHS Committee training.

§  OHS Representative training (on behalf of the SA Employers Chamber).

§  OHS planning (incorporating the SA WorkCover Standards).

Her project work has included 2 projects for the Health Industry (one National project), others for the Motor Trade, Glass Industry, Wine & Brandy Industry, Retail Trade and involvement with 2 other projects assisting small business to implement OHS and the Hazardous Substances Legislation.  This is in addition to a wide range of client based work.

Marion’s broad experience has provided her with the skills to quickly and effectively gain an insight into the relevant industries and companies she works with enabling her to tailor training to the needs of the client and audience. Marion was instrumental in assisting the Newmont Tanami operations to achieve an international award for an outstanding FLM related OH&S initiative in late 2003.  Marion is our specialist OH&S trainer and has worked with us on FLM and similar programmes for over 12 years.
